Laboratory Information System upgrade

Read the notice and prepare for downtime

Salem Health Laboratories partners exclusively with Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. to provide anatomic pathology and cytology services.  On July 9, Pacific Pathology Associates, Inc. will be upgrading the Laboratory Information System (see the notice here).

• During the upgrade, there will be a planned downtime from Friday, July 9, at 5 p.m. until Monday, July 11, at 8 a.m. New pathology reports and dictation for emergent cases submitted during the downtime will not be immediately available in Epic. All pathology reports will be available in Epic following the downtime.
• After the upgrade, continue to use the existing workflow for submitting specimens to pathology
• After the upgrade, pathology reports will be available in Epic or via the normal distribution method, including fax or other interface with your practice.
• Phone numbers to contact pathology directly will change, as outlined in the notice.
