  • Administer supportive care for patients undergoing a reaction to the vaccine, which may include anaphylaxis
  • Be familiar with the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccine, including common side effects, contraindications, etc.

  • Active license with the Oregon State Board of Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner or with the Oregon Medical Board as a Physician Assistant to care for patients age 16 and up
  • A PA shall be responsible for seeking approval from Supervising Physician and revising Practice Agreement with the OMB
  • Interested providers should confirm with their malpractice carrier that their insurance extends to them in this volunteer capacity.  If not, please inform the Medical Staff Office for next steps.

How do I sign up?

  • If you meet the above qualifications, please email and we will send you information to complete for screening and approval.  Once approved, schedulers will reach out to you directly.
  • If you do not qualify at this time, or we have an overabundance of volunteers, we may have more opportunities for volunteer work and appreciate your patience as we continue to operationalize this historic event.
